The challenge
ALP wished to engage suppliers who could deliver building and estate compliance services across their sites. As a growing Trust, ALP needed a provider who was able to deliver on current compliance services and grow with the Trust, adapting to the ever-changing needs of a varied estate.
Key requirements
The focus was the management and maintenance of a growing number of academies with varying facility service needs while ensuring continuous compliance with safety regulations across multiple locations. A scalable solution needed to be implemented to support the future growth of the Trust.
Our solution
Starting in September 2024, we were awarded a prestigious 5-year contract to provide both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance services for all of ALP’s academies. Our responsibility includes managing their Plumbing and Heating, electrical and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Our approach
To modernise, maintain, and future-proof each academy within the Trust, we implemented a three-pronged strategy:
Proactive maintenance: We developed a customised Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule to keep critical systems fully operational and compliant.
Rapid response: Our Reactive Maintenance services mean we respond to emergency call-outs within a 4-hour window. Our team is always ready to address urgent issues, minimising downtime and ensuring school operations remain uninterrupted.
Community impact: We collaborate with the Trust to deliver services that benefit the local community and enhance the overall school experience.

Throughout the lifetime of this prestigious 5-year contract, we are committed to delivering on every front. ALP have already seen upgrades to services and equipment being carried out, enhancing estates and the lives of the students and staff who occupy these premises.

We are committed to developing young talent within our team and this contract has facilitated the hire of a new Business Administration Apprentice at Odin, which will strengthen our team and enhance our operational efficiency.
